Heatmap list

Columns

You can arrange the heatmaps by the various column headings. The default arrangement is number of Views, highest to lowest.

Heatmap list columns

  • Page: The name of the page based on its URL path
  • Views: How many views the page received
  • Visit Time: The average amount of time the visitor spent on the page
  • Engagement: The average amount of time a visitor engaged (click, moved, scrolled, etc.) with the page
  • Clicks: The total number of clicks the page received
  • Render: The total time it took to render the live page
  • Scroll: The percentage of page a visitor sees, on average (100% = the whole page)
  • Friction: The average friction score for visitors to this page. The friction score is calculated from typical points of frustration - or friction - encountered by users. Read more on Friction here.
  • Size: The total size of the HTML of the page.
  • Refresh button: Refreshes the heatmap list, updates the heatmap information, and loads any new heatmaps

Hovering over any of the heatmaps will reveal more options, which are explained below.

The link icon () opens a new tab and takes you to the live page.

The eye icon () opens a new tab with the page's heatmap.

Heatmap bar

  • Page selector: The name of the page you're currently viewing. Expanding the selectors allows the user to easily toggle between other pages.
  • Opacity/Intensity: Sliding these toggles left or right decreases or increases the opacity/intensity of the heatmap overlay.
  • Map type: Click any of these tabs to switch to a different heatmap. -Device type: Select this button to display heatmaps of your webpage on difference devices.
  • Date range selector: By default, this date range is set to the past 30 days. The data reflects of your website's activities within this date range. By clicking on it, you can customize the date range or choose one of the pre-defined options.
  • : Clicking this toggle expands a tab with information about the heatmap such as the Page Title, Views, Clicks, Visit Time, Engagement, Render, Scroll, Height, and Size.
  • : Clicking this icon gives you the option to view the heatmap in full screen, download the heatmap, share the heatmap, go to the page, or contact out Support Team.
