How can I exclude certain input fields from being recorded?

With Mouseflow, you can exclude certain input fields from being recorded. This is commonly used to exclude sensitive financial information, personally identifying information, and healthcare relating information.

To exclude a field, add the no-mouseflow class to its tag.

Examples

<input type="text" class="no-mouseflow" id="name" />

<input type="text" class="field-large no-mouseflow" />

<textarea type="text" class="no-mouseflow" />

Once a field is excluded, Mouseflow will skip over/not send the respective data to our platform.

Note: This approach will only prevent keystrokes in the field from being recorded. If the page is loaded with the field pre-filled, any such data will still be recorded. To exclude this, as well, refer to excluding/replacing content on Pages.

You can also completely disable keystrokes from being recorded.
