Due to the way content is generated within Google Maps and the varying interactions users can have within it, Mouseflow cannot effectively support recording users' interactions with Google Maps.

If you use Google Maps on your website, you may see this error message when watching recordings or viewing heatmaps:

"The Google Maps API key used on this website was registered for a different website."

This is because Mouseflow displays your website from a different domain than your original web server. Google's API prevents maps from being displayed on domains other than your own. We suggest disabling Google Maps in playback and the heatmaps. This can be done by excluding Google Maps using the Privacy Tool,

Even if you're able to playback pages with Google Maps, Mouseflow may not properly capture any interaction with the map because it's embedded in an iframe. You can read more about iframes here.
