Mouseflow collects information about the browser (type, version, screen size, etc.), basic information about the user (IP address, language, time zone), and data containing mouse movements, clicks, scroll events, and keystrokes (except for password or credit card fields). No personal data is ever sent or shared between websites. The script does not use third-party cookies and none of the data is shared with third parties except for highly summarized data (i.e. usage share of browsers, average screen size, etc.). For more information, including how to exclude data from being tracked, see our Security page.

If your local legislation requires it, you can anonymize IP addresses.

Mouseflow requires that your site's privacy policy indicate that you use web analytics tools to track user behavior and that, by using your site, the users consent to be tracked with those tools. You can find a template for such a privacy policy update here.

We also recommend explicitly listing Mouseflow as a tool used on your site, along with a link where users can opt-out from being tracked.

Mouseflow also prohibits using the service for recording personal or financial information.

Please read our privacy policy for more information.

Mouseflow is also fully GDPR and CCPA compliant. You can read more about this topic on our GDPR page or from the CCPA page.
