Mouseflow's Funnels are the perfect tool to learn more about how visitors navigate on your site.

You can see where your visitors drop out, hesitate, and convert. The most common use cases including tracking a check-out process, sign-ups, or similar.

The Funnel data is updated in real-time, so there is no need to wait before a report is ready. You can simply create a funnel with the steps you want to track and start analyzing right away - even retroactively! View our guide on creating a funnel here

How do Funnels work?

Mouseflow goes through all data gathered on your account and detects all visitors who enter the funnel you specified.

Note: The order a visitor goes through the steps of the funnel doesn't matter as long as all pages were visited as some point.

For example:

'Page 1 > Page 2 > Page 3 > Page 4'

or

'Page 4 > Page 2 > Page 3 > Page 1'

Both of these count as a conversion as long as the user visits all of the pages in the funnel during their session. Any number of pages in-between each step is allowed.

So, this still counts as a conversion towards the first funnel above (because the user visited all pages in the funnel plus a few extra):

'Page 1 > Page X > Page 2 > Page Y > Page 3 > Page Z > Page 4'

If at least one of the pages in the funnels is not visited, the visitor is counted as dropped at the first page that is NOT visited.

This means that:

Page 1 > Page 2 > Page 4

is dropped at "Page 2" because the visitor never viewed "Page 3"
