You can export your Mouseflow session data into a third-party tool.

Use it to

The most common use-case is pushing a visitor's Mouseflow Session ID.

  1. From the third party tool, use its sorting/filtering capabilities to show session IDs that match specific criteria.
  2. From Mouseflow, copy/paste the session IDs to filter/sort the recording list.

Setup

This is a relatively easy setup but it does require some coding knowledge to do. Please follow this short guide to exporting Mouseflow data using our API

1. Get the Mouseflow Session ID

You can find the session ID associated with a recording (while it's active) with this JavaScript code.

<script type="text/javascript">
$(window).load(function() {
mouseflow.getSessionId();
});
</script>

2. Export the data to a third party tool

This should return a 32-character, alphanumeric, string that represents the user's session ID. Once you have this ID, you can push it into another tool by following its established procedure.

Example:

Google Analytics

<script type="text/javascript">
$(window).load(function() {
_gaq.setCustomVar("MFSID", mouseflow.getSessionId());
});
</script>
