The Zendesk Help Center is a great tool for your customers to find relevant answers to all their questions - but do you know if they actually find what they're looking for? Installing Mouseflow on your Help Center can help you find out.

Setup

You can add the Mouseflow tracking code to your Zendesk Help Center. Here's how:

1. Log in to Mouseflow

Begin by logging into Mouseflow and clicking the </> symbol to open up the Tracking Code you will need.

Click the Copy to Clipboard button to save the Tracking Code.

You will need this in step 2.

2. Log in to your Zendesk Account

Log into your Zendesk dashboard. In the top-right of the screen, open the dropdown and select Guide

If your help-center is in preview mode, click close preview at the top of the screen. If not, you will want to select the Guide admin option at the top of the page.


In the side menu bar, click the icon with the 'eye' to navigate to the themes page and choose the theme your help center is using.

3. Install the Mouseflow Tracking code

Click the dropdown to the right of the theme name and choose Edit code.

Choose the file footer.hbs in the sidebar. Add the Mouseflow tracking code right before the closing footer-tag </footer>.

When you're ready to deploy, click Publish.

4. Test Installation and Activate Tracking

Once you have completed adding the Mouseflow Tracking Code to your site you should refresh one of the pages that the code is on, this will let Mouseflow know that the installation has been made.

To begin recording traffic on your site, you need to activate tracking by clicking the Activate Tracking button from the

Manage My Sites page.
You confirm that you will abide by Mouseflow terms and not collect Personal Identifiable Information (PII) by signing your name and clicking the button.

Tip: If you are not seeing the Activate Recording button (or popup) at this point, please try to visit your site in your browser's Private or Incognito mode, and do some clicking, scrolling and navigating while you're there.


Congratulations! You Made it!

Now go celebrate with your team while the insights pour in.

Once you have activated tracking, Mouseflow will automatically begin recording your visitors. You can check the Recording Status from the Manage My Sites page or you can click the play button to go to your Dashboard.
